The Bag of Treasure!

Into the world of arts, I should say, revisiting the world of arts!

My father draws beautifully, writes wonderfully, his handwriting is amazing and I, his daughter, is absolutely grateful in getting a little bit of those genes in me. I have heard that talents skip a generation. So I guess, my kids would be so talented!!! Yeah, right!

Another lockdown... A few hours at my disposal! Last lockdown I was busy making jewellery... Earrings, necklaces, bracelet. I have ran out of ideas and as I have so many by now I don't feel like making any as of now! This lockdown was spent mostly cleaning and setting up rooms, wardrobe!!

So, one grand and unusual day, a few hours spent browsing and cleaning my room, I stumbled across an old bag bringing back memories of some good old days! When I had first come to Bangalore.. a few months into my new job, a friend of mine asked me if I could accompany her in joining a class on visual arts. I loved drawing (thanks to my father, of course) so I immediately said yes. Went for about a year and had to leave just as the class had started with water color painting. The institute had shifted to a far place and our instructor also got changed. Both of us quit. She loved doing portraits and I loved landscapes, flowers... Colors! I could never master portraits!! Well, that was almost 11 years back. And, as I checked 'the bag' full of my stuffs... Specifically, my art stuffs, I almost missed those days... Days when I used to get lost in the world of colours.

One by one, I took out the contents of the bag and I simply didn't feel like keeping it back. Coincidentally, found a drawing book untouched (again a good 11 years old).

That was on 14th April 2021. And, today 24th May 2021, the journey continues... Thanks to my bag of treasures!
